Over 250 properties in St Austell were without electricity due to a power cut this morning (Friday, January 31). The National Grid said that 276 homes were hit in the PL24 area.

The power outage was first reported at around 6.15am and engineers were working on the issue. There was reportedly a fault on the high voltage network.

All power was restored by 1.50pm.
