A busy A-road in Cornwall was completely closed this evening (Thursday, January 16), due a three-vehicle crash. The A3058 near Newquay was closed between Quintrell Downs to Summercourt. We will keep you updated with our live blog below.
The multi-vehicle crash took place near Dairyland Farm Park. It is not thought that anyone has sustained serious injuries.
Roads and traffic monitoring site Inrix first reported the crash at 4.19pm. It said: "A3058 in both directions closed, delays due to multi-vehicle accident from The Quintrell Inn (Quintrell Downs) to St Newlyn East turn off (Summercourt)."
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told CornwallLive: "Police were called at 3.10pm on Thursday 16 January following reports of a three-vehicle collision on the A3058 near Quintrell Downs. Location we have is close to Dairyland Farm Park.
"Ambulance and the fire are also in attendance. The road is blocked and has been closed. Minor injuries only. Recovery is on scene and the road should open shortly."
