A primary school in Cornwall has closed for the day. Polperro Primary Academy has announced that it is closed today, Monday, January 27, because it has no water in the building.
Cornwall Council said: "Monday 27 January 2025, Polperro Primary Academy - CLOSED due to no water supply".
The Met Office has a number of weather warnings in place for the region. Forecasters have predicted 70mph winds and heavy downpours for the next 24 hours.
