Kyle Clifford has entered a guilty plea to three charges of murder.
Clifford, 26, admitted to the murders of Carol Hunt, 61, and her daughters Louise, 25, and Hannah, 28, which occurred in Bushey, Hertfordshire, in the previous year. Additionally, he admitted to the false imprisonment of Louise.
During a court hearing at Cambridge Crown Court, Clifford, a resident of Enfield, north London, also admitted to possessing a 10-inch butcher's knife and a crossbow. However, he denied raping Louise on July 9 of the previous year and is scheduled to stand trial later in the year.
Louise, Hannah, and Carol - the family of BBC racing pundit John Hunt - were killed in an attack involving a crossbow on July 9 at their residence in Bushey, Herts. , in the previous year.
Clifford was arrested in Enfield, North London, on the following evening, reports the Mirror.

The three women were discovered deceased at their family home by the police, with the court previously being informed that Louise had been found restrained. Both Louise and Hannah had been shot with a crossbow, while their mother Carol had been stabbed with a knife.
The court was told that when officers arrived at the home at approximately 7 pm on July 9, they found Louise tied to a chair. It was revealed in court that Hannah had managed to contact the police to inform them that her mother and sister had been shot, expressing her fear that "she was going to die".

A chilling incident was reported where a phone call abruptly terminated before the courageous Hannah managed to reconnect, subsequently leading to an ambulance being called, it was reported. Upon arrival at the scene, police found the residence open, with Hannah and Louise having suffered crossbow injuries, while their mother Carol had been fatally stabbed with a knife, it was noted.
In the aftermath of this tragedy, Mr. Hunt and his other daughter, Amy, issued a heart-wrenching statement expressing that their sorrow is "cannot be put into words". They acknowledged the kindness shown by people, saying, "We would like to thank people for their kind messages and for the support we have received in recent days," adding that such gestures offered immense comfort for which they are deeply thankful.
Following the tragic news, the BBC shared a message with its 5 Live staff, expressing deep sorrow: "The news today about John Hunt's family is utterly devastating. Our thoughts are with John and his family at this incredibly difficult time and we will provide him with all the support we can."

Amidst the tragedy, it was noted that Louise had started her own dog grooming venture, Groom and Glow, during the pandemic, and the "talented" Hannah owned a beauty business.
