While it may be cold outside and the Christmas festivities are quickly becoming distant memory, one good thing about the start of a new year is all the things to look forward to in 2025. Cornwall's calendar of events is full of exciting festivals, concerts, and celebrations to look forward to.

What's better is there’s something for everyone to enjoy, from food and drink to music and art. So, whether you're looking to listen to some brilliant music with friends at Boardmasters or try delicious dishes at Porthleven Food Festival, there might just be something that's right up your street.

We've put together a list of some of Cornwall's exciting events to look forward to in 2025. So, get your calendars out and mark down your favourites so you don't miss out.

Rattler Fest

Location: Healeys Cyder Farm, Penhallow, Truro

Date: April 25 to 26

Back for its fifth year, this adults-only music event will kick off Cornwall's festival season in April. Headline acts so far include Toploader, best known for their song Dancing in the Moonlight.

A celebration of all things Rattler, punters can also enjoy celebrity DJs, a silent disco, Apres Ski lodge sessions, good food, and fairground rides. More details are available here.

Porthleven Food Festival

One of Cornwall's most popular foodie events, Porthleven Food Festival, is set to return this spring with a full lineup of celebrity chefs and plenty of food to go with it. The first wave lineup has yet to be announced; however, people can expect a host of talented chefs to give demos at the event.

The free foodie event attracts thousands of people every year and aims to celebrate Cornwall’s leading food and drink producers and stimulates the local economy – whilst also raising awareness of key issues relating to the environment, food culture and sustainable food production. The Great Estate Festival

The Great Estate has become THE family festival in Cornwall - idyllic surrounds, a host of food and drink venues, and a great range of music and stages. Headline acts include Supergrass, Happy Mondays, and Leftfield. More details are available here.

Royal Cornwall Show

Location: Whitecross, Wadebridge

Date: June 5 to 7

The popular three-day event features livestock, live entertainment, music and dance, a funfair, flower show and much more. And with an average annual attendance of 120,000 people, the Royal Cornwall Show at Wadebridge is the county’s biggest yearly event.

Each year, there are over 1,000 trade stands across the show, so you can pick up some great products whilst supporting local businesses. More details are available here.

Date: June 6 to 8

The popular beach festival's line up has a whole host of 90s and 00s acts including Busted, Vengaboys, Dub Pistols, Jess Glynne, Daniel Bedingfield plus more on the main stage and more local acts on the second. More details are available here.

Eden Sessions

Location:Eden Project, Bodelva, Par

Dates: June and July

You can always bank on the Eden Sessions to bag some great names and 2025 is no different. This year's acts so far include Texas and K T Tunstall (June 12), Gary Barlow (June 18), The Script (June 25) Deftones (June 26) and Madness (July 12).

Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival

People travel from all over the world to visit Falmouth'sSea Shanty Festival and enjoy the sun, sea, atmosphere and music. Billed as the largest free nautical music and song festival in Europe, the event sees performances across the town. More details are available here.

Rock Oyster Festival

Location: Dinham House, Rock

Date: July 24 to 27

Rock Oyster Festival celebrates the best of live music and food. Headline acts for the weekend include Rag & Bone Man and UB40.

This family-friendly event also offers lots of fun for kids and includes loads of well-being activities like SUP, surfing, yoga and hot tubs, taking in the gorgeous view of the Camel Estuary. Punters can also enjoy demos from well-renowned chefs including John Torode, Jack Stein, Emily Scott and Andrew Tuck. More details are available here.

Boardmasters

Date: August 6 to 10

Cornwall’s biggest music and surf festival, Boardmasters, is returning this year with a host of big-name music stars already signed up. RAYE and The Prodigy are topping the bill in 2025, with Kaiser Chiefs, Rizzle Kicks, and Natasha Bedingfield making special afternoon appearances.

There will also be performances from London Grammar, Maribou State, Wet Leg, Bou, Bru-C, Orla Gartland, Paris Paloma, Sally C and Bakey, Biianco and Dan Shake. Away from the music, festivalgoers can take in pro surfing competitions, sign up for surf lessons, join a silent disco, go to an outdoor gym and take time out with sound baths, wellness discussions and massages. Falmouth Week

The popular annual event will once again blend sailing with live entertainment and a host of family-friendly attractions this summer. Ten days of festivities will kick off on Friday (August 8) with the Pink Wig Parade to raise funds for breast cancer charities.

And, as ever, at the heart of the event will be its famous regatta, seeing everything from traditional working boats to sleek racing yachts taking to the water for a display of skill and strategy. There will also be activities in the heart of Falmouth on The Moor, including an eclectic market, live music, fun children’s rides and a buzzing atmosphere. More details are available here.

Tunes in the Park

Location: Port Eliot, St Germans

Date: August 21 to 24

Located on the stunning Port Eliot Estate, Tunes in the Park offers the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable weekend, featuring a mix of legendary and emerging artists from a variety of genres. Across the weekend there will be plenty of local talent taking to the stage too.

Ahead of the summer festival, organisers have released a sneak peek at the line-up and events, which include appearances from Jess Glynne, Craig David, Scouting for Girls, The Wanted, and many more. There will also be performances from tribute bands Pulp Friction and Wrong Jovi. More details are available here.

Cornwall Pride is hoping to once again be a shining beacon of visibility and awareness for the LGBTQ+ and marginalised communities across Cornwall with 13 Pride marches and events organised throughout the county from April through to October. This year, Launceston will kick off the festivities, with Saltash and St Ives hosting the last two pride events of the year.
