There has been an alarming number of serious crashes on roads across Cornwall over the past two weeks. The collisions have left some people injured while 22-year-old Sam Vass tragically lost his life. A female pedestrian was seriously injured in Bude and a Domino's pizza delivery rider collided with a car and was hospitalised as a result.

This time of year is particularly busy on the roads and conditions can be made more treacherous by ice, standing water and stormy weather. Drivers have been reminded to be careful over the Christmas period and experts have warned of the busiest times to travel across the region.

Driver rushed to hospital after tractor crash on A30

A man has suffered serious injuries after a crash on the A30 in Cornwall on Monday (December 16). Emergency services rushed to the scene where a van and a tractor with a trailer collided near Camborne at around 8.40pm.

The road was closed for around 14 hours as investigation work took place. Oil was also spilled across the carriageway. For the full story, click here.

Farmers rescue rolling car near Liskeard

A car rolled and crashed near Liskeard last Sunday evening (December 15). Emergency services were called to the scene at Menheniot at around 7.15pm.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a group of farmers helped to rescue the car. The driver was not injured. For the full story, click here.

Young man dies outside naval base in Cornwall

A young man died after a two-vehicle crash outside of a naval base in Cornwall last Saturday (December 14). Emergency services were called to the collision near RNAS Culdrose, in Helston, at around 12.05am.

Sam Vass, 22, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Tributes have since poured in for him, describing him as a "kind" and "vibrant" young man. For the full story, click here.

Two people injured in lorry and car crash on A38

Two people were injured after a lorry and car crash on the A38. The collision took place at the Trerulefoot Roundabout at around 2.45pm on Friday, December 13.

The road was closed and there were lengthy traffic delays in the area. Motorists were urged to find alternative routes. For the full story, click here.

A Domino's Pizza delivery rider has been taken to hospital after a crash in Helston on Tuesday, December 10. Emergency services were called to Clodgey Lane at around 7.15pm.

The crash involved a motorbike and a car at the junction with Trengrouse Way. A picture from the scene shows a Domino's moped on its side in the middle of the road. For the full story, click here.

Woman seriously injured in car crash in Bude

A woman was seriously injured after a crash in Bude on Thursday, December 5. A blue Honda Civic collided with an elderly female pedestrian on Belle Vue at around 12.10pm.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 80s, was rushed to Derriford Hospital. The driver of the Honda, also a woman in her 80s, was uninjured. For the full story, click here.
